Now, I will discuss the ailments related to the eyes. There are six conditions affecting the eyes: they may be displaced, twisted, compressed from the sides, excessively elevated, sagging, or obliquely positioned. There are eleven eye disorders: excessive bulkiness, thinness, proper perforation, extension, difficulty in closure, and the like. There are five disorders related to the enema: excessive pressure, looseness, repeated compression, and the passage of time. There are eleven material disorders: general debility, weakness, excessiveness, excessive coldness, excessive heat, excessive sharpness, excessive softness, excessive greasiness, excessive roughness, excessive density, and excessive liquidity. There are seven bed-related disorders: inappropriate postures like supine or sitting with the head lowered. Thus, there are a total of forty ailments that require a physician's attention. For the patient's conditions, there are fifteen afflictions that will be discussed in the treatment. The presence of oil is obstructed by eight causes, thus it does not return due to three doshas: affected by hunger, mixed with waste, distant entry, not being absorbed, lacking warmth, and insufficient food intake, among others. Additionally, there are nine ailments that require a physician's intervention, such as discomfort, flatulence, swelling, excessive bleeding, cardiac issues, limb numbness, excessive straining, and life-threatening situations.
