क्रूरकोष्ठस्यातितीक्ष्णाग्नेरल्पमौषधमल्पगुणं वा भक्तवत् पाकमुपैति, तत्र समुदीर्णा दोषा यथाकालमनिर्ह्रीयमाणा व्याधिविभ्रमं बलविभ्रंशं चापादयन्ति, तमनल्पममन्दमौषधं च पाययेत् ॥७॥

In a person with a harsh constitution and intense digestive fire, if there is minimal medicinal substance or medicinal properties, then the doshas that have accumulated lead to delayed elimination at the appropriate time, causing disturbances in health and a decline in strength. Therefore, one should administer a small quantity of ineffective medicine.

कठोर शारीरिक संरचना वाले तथा तीव्र जठराग्नि वाले व्यक्ति में यदि औषधि पदार्थ या औषधि गुण कम मात्रा में हों, तो संचित दोष समय पर निष्कासन में विलम्ब करते हैं, जिससे स्वास्थ्य में गड़बड़ी होती है तथा शक्ति में कमी आती है। अत: व्यक्ति को अप्रभावी औषधि की थोड़ी मात्रा ही देनी चाहिए।
