मेदोर्बुदं स्विन्नमथो विदार्य विशोध्य सीव्येद्गतरक्तमाशु । ततो हरिद्रागृहधूमरोध्रपतङ्गचूर्णैः समनःशिलालैः ॥४१॥
The physician should rapidly excise the swelled fat tumor, after proper steaming and purification. Then, it should be stitched with powders of turmeric, smoke from the house of turmeric, and the dust of certain stones.

The physician should apply clarified Karanja oil on the wound, which is cleansed with honey preparations. If any residual doshas remain, they will quickly regenerate the tumor.

Therefore, the physician should completely remove all remnants, just as fire consumes all. After sweating, he should treat the swelling caused by Vata with medicinal leaves that alleviate the dosha.

The learned physician should apply various sour and warm liquids, mixed with oils and fats, to the sweating, alert patient. He should also use this mixture to treat a pure wound.
