आ गुल्फकर्णात् सुमितस्य जन्तोस्तस्याष्टभागं खुडकाद्विभज्य । घोणर्जुवेधः सुरराजबस्तेर्हित्वाऽक्षिमात्रं त्वपरे वदन्ति ॥२६॥
From the ankle to the ear of a well-measured person, divide into eight parts. Some say that the measure for the nose and bladder should be equal to the size of the eye, excluding Suraraja’s bladder.

अच्छी तरह मापे गए व्यक्ति के गुल्फ (टखने) से कान तक की दूरी को आठ भागों में विभाजित करें। कुछ लोग कहते हैं कि नाक और मूत्राशय का माप आंख के आकार के बराबर होना चाहिए, सिवाय सुरराज के मूत्राशय के।

A gulphakarNAt sumitasya jantostasyASTabhAgaM khuDakAdvibhajya । ghoNarjuvedhaH surarAjabasterhitvA'kSimAtraM tvapare vadanti ॥26॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptमणिबन्धोपरिष्टाद्वा कुर्याद्रेखात्रयं भिषक् । अङ्गुल्यन्तरितं सम्यगपचीनां निवृत्तये ॥२७॥
Above the wrist, the physician should make three incisions, spaced a finger’s width apart, to properly alleviate the swelling.

At the time of powdering, one should apply the ash derived from lizards, crows, iguanas, serpents, and tortoises, mixed with oil of castor or sesame seeds, as will be described for the treatment of elephantiasis.

चूर्ण करते समय छिपकली, कौवे, इगुआना, सांप और कछुए से प्राप्त राख को अरंडी या तिल के तेल में मिलाकर लगाना चाहिए, जैसा कि श्लीपद (हाथीपाँव) के इलाज के लिए बताया जाएगा।

One should take purgation and smoke therapy regularly and should consume barley and green gram daily. The powder of karkaruka, coconut, priyaala, and the seeds of panchangula should be used.

नियमित रूप से विरेचन एवं धुंआ चिकित्सा लेनी चाहिए तथा प्रतिदिन जौ एवं मूंग का सेवन करना चाहिए। कर्करूका, नारियल, प्रियाला और पंचांगुला के बीजों का चूर्ण प्रयोग करना चाहिए।

One should apply warm poultices with milk, ghee, water, and oil for treating tumors caused by vata. One should also use the best poultices prepared with meats or vesavara (a type of meat preparation).

वातजनित अर्बुद का उपचार दूध, घी, पानी और तेल से सिद्ध किए गए गरम उपनाह (पट्टी) से करना चाहिए। मांस या वेसवारा (मांस की एक प्रकार की तैयारी) से बने उत्तम उपनाहों का भी उपयोग करना चाहिए।
