सूत्रस्यान्तं समानीय गाढं बन्धं समाचरेत् । ततः क्षारबलं वीक्ष्य सूत्रमन्यत् प्रवेशयेत् ॥३१॥
One should bring the end of the thread together and perform a strong binding. Then, observing the strength of the caustic, one should insert another thread.

In cases of tumors and similar conditions, the thread should be placed at the root, surrounded by needles or thin, curved objects. The thread should be tied at the root, and if it is cut, the wound should be treated accordingly.
