तस्य साधोरपापस्य भ्रूणस्य ब्रह्मवादिनः । कथं वधं यथा बभ्रोर्मन्यते सन्मतो भवान् ।। ९-९-३१ ।।

sanskrit

You are well known and worshiped in learned circles. How dare you kill this brāhmaṇa, who is a saintly, sinless person, well versed in Vedic knowledge? Killing him would be like destroying the embryo within the womb or killing a cow. ।। 9-9-31 ।।

english translation

तुम विख्यात हो और विद्वानों में पूजित हो। तुम किस तरह इस ब्राह्मण का वध करने का साहस कर रहे हो जो साधु, निष्पाप तथा वैदिक ज्ञान में पटु है? उसका वध करना गर्भ के भीतर भ्रूण नष्ट करने या गोवध के तुल्य होगा। ।। ९-९-३१ ।।

tasya sAdhorapApasya bhrUNasya brahmavAdinaH | kathaM vadhaM yathA babhrormanyate sanmato bhavAn || 9-9-31 ||
