Srimad Bhagavatam
सा सन्निवासं सुहृदां प्रपायामिव गच्छताम् । विज्ञायेश्वरतन्त्राणां मायाविरचितं प्रभोः ॥ ९-१९-२७ ॥
Thereafter, Devayānī, the daughter of Śukrācārya, understood that the materialistic association of husband, friends and relatives is like the association in a hotel full of tourists. The relationships of society, friendship and love are created by the māyā of the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Exactly as in a dream. ॥ 9-19-27 ॥
english translation
तत्पश्चात् शुक्राचार्य की पुत्री देवयानी समझ गई कि पति, मित्रों तथा सम्बन्धियों का सांसारिक साथ प्याऊ में यात्रियों की संगति के समान है। भगवान् की माया से समाज के सम्बन्ध, मित्रता तथा प्रेम ठीक स्वप्न की ही भाँति उत्पन्न होते हैं। ॥ ९-१९-२७ ॥
