तन्निशम्य वचस्तस्य भगवान् प्रपितामहः । होतुर्व्यतिक्रमं ज्ञात्वा बभाषे रविनन्दनम् ॥ ९-१-१९ ॥

The most powerful great-grandfather Vasiṣṭha, after hearing these words of Manu, understood the discrepancy on the part of the priest. Thus he spoke as follows to the son of the sun-god. ॥ 9-1-19 ॥

english translation

मनु के इन वचनों को सुनकर अत्यन्त शक्तिशाली प्रपितामह वसिष्ठ होता की त्रुटि को समझ गये। अत: वे सूर्यपुत्र से इस प्रकार बोले। ॥ ९-१-१९ ॥

tannizamya vacastasya bhagavAn prapitAmahaH । hoturvyatikramaM jJAtvA babhASe ravinandanam ॥ 9-1-19 ॥
