नालं द्विजत्वं देवत्वमृषित्वं वासुरात्मजाः । प्रीणनाय मुकुन्दस्य न वृत्तं न बहुज्ञता ॥ ७-७-५१ ॥
My dear friends, O sons of the demons, you cannot please the Supreme Personality of Godhead by becoming perfect brāhmaṇas, demigods or great saints or by becoming perfectly good in etiquette or vast learning. None of these qualifications can awaken the pleasure of the Lord. ॥ 7-7-51 ॥

हे मित्रो, हे असुरपुत्रो, तुम लोग न तो पूर्ण ब्राह्मण, देवता या महान् सन्त बनकर, न ही सदाचरण या प्रकाण्ड ज्ञान के द्वारा परमेश्वर को प्रसन्न कर सकते हो। इनमें से किसी भी योग्यता से भगवान् प्रसन्न होने वाले नहीं हैं। ॥ ७-७-५१ ॥
