तेषामतिबलोद्योगं निशम्यासुरयूथपाः । वध्यमानाः सुरैर्भीता दुद्रुवुः सर्वतो दिशम् ॥ ७-७-४ ॥
When the great leaders of the demons, who were being killed one after another, saw the unprecedented exertion of the demigods in fighting, they began to flee, scattering themselves in all directions. ॥ 7-7-4 ॥

एक के बाद एक मारे जाने पर जब असुरों के महान् नायकों ने लड़ाई में देवताओं का अभूतपूर्व पराक्रम देखा, तो वे तितर-बितर होकर सभी दिशाओं में भागने लगे। ॥ ७-७-४ ॥
