यत्तत्र गुरुणा प्रोक्तं शुश्रुवेऽनुपपाठ च । न साधु मनसा मेने स्वपरासद्ग्रहाश्रयम् ।। ७-५-३ ।।

Prahlāda certainly heard and recited the topics of politics and economics taught by the teachers, but he understood that political philosophy involves considering someone a friend and someone else an enemy, and thus he did not like it. ।। 7-5-3 ।।

english translation

प्रह्लाद अध्यापकों द्वारा पढ़ाये गये राजनीति तथा अर्थशास्त्र के पाठों को सुनते और सुनाते अवश्य थे, किन्तु वे यह समझते थे कि राजनीति में किसी को मित्र माना जाता है और किसी को शत्रु। अतएव यह विषय उन्हें पसन्द न था। ।। ७-५-३ ।।
