तस्योग्रदण्डसंविग्नाः सर्वे लोकाः सपालकाः । अन्यत्रालब्धशरणाः शरणं ययुरच्युतम् ॥ ७-४-२१ ॥
Everyone, including the rulers of the various planets, was extremely distressed because of the severe punishment inflicted upon them by Hiraṇyakaśipu. Fearful and disturbed, unable to find any other shelter, they at last surrendered to the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Viṣṇu. ॥ 7-4-21 ॥

हिरण्यकशिपु द्वारा दिये गये कठोर दण्ड से सभी व्यक्ति, यहाँ तक कि विभिन्न लोकों के शासक भी, अत्यधिक पीडि़त थे। वे अत्यन्त भयभीत तथा उद्विग्न होकर और अन्य किसी की शरण न पा सकने के कारण अन्तत: भगवान् विष्णु की शरण में आये। ॥ ७-४-२१ ॥

तस्यै नमोऽस्तु काष्ठायै यत्रात्मा हरिरीश्वरः । यद्गत्वा न निवर्तन्ते शान्ताः सन्न्यासिनोऽमलाः ॥ ७-४-२२ ॥
“Let us offer our respectful obeisances unto that direction where the Supreme Personality of Godhead is situated, where those purified souls in the renounced order of life, the great saintly persons, go, and from which, having gone, they never return.” ॥ 7-4-22 ॥

“हम उस दिशा को सादर नमस्कार करते हैं जहाँ भगवान् स्थित हैं, जहाँ संन्यास आश्रम में रहने वाले विशुद्ध आत्मा महान् साधु पुरुष जाते हैं और जहाँ जाकर वे फिर कभी नहीं लौटते।” ॥ ७-४-२२ ॥

इति ते संयतात्मानः समाहितधियोऽमलाः । उपतस्थुर्हृषीकेशं विनिद्रा वायुभोजनाः ॥ ७-४-२३ ॥
Without sleep, fully controlling their minds, and living on only their breath, the predominating deities of the various planets began worshiping Hṛṣīkeśa with this meditation. ॥ 7-4-23 ॥

बिना सोये, अपने मनों को पूर्णतया वश में करके तथा केवल अपनी श्वास पर जीवित रहकर विभिन्न लोकपालों ने इस ध्यान से हृषीकेश की पूजा करनी प्रारम्भ की। ॥ ७-४-२३ ॥

तेषामाविरभूद्वाणी अरूपा मेघनिःस्वना । सन्नादयन्ती ककुभः साधूनामभयङ्करी ॥ ७-४-२४ ॥
Then there appeared before them a transcendental sound vibration, emanating from a personality not visible to material eyes. The voice was as grave as the sound of a cloud, and it was very encouraging, driving away all fear. ॥ 7-4-24 ॥

तब उन सबों के समक्ष दिव्य वाणी प्रकट हुई जो भौतिक नेत्रों से अदृश्य पुरुष से निकली थी। यह वाणी मेघ की ध्वनि के समान गम्भीर थी और यह अत्यन्त प्रोत्साहन देने वाली तथा सभी प्रकार का भय भगाने वाली थी। ॥ ७-४-२४ ॥

मा भैष्ट विबुधश्रेष्ठाः सर्वेषां भद्रमस्तु वः । मद्दर्शनं हि भूतानां सर्वश्रेयोपपत्तये ॥ ७-४-२५ ॥
The voice of the Lord vibrated as follows: O best of learned persons, do not fear! I wish all good fortune to you. Become My devotees by hearing and chanting about Me and offering Me prayers, for these are certainly meant to award benedictions to all living entities. ॥ 7-4-25 ॥

भगवान् की वाणी इस प्रकार गुंजायमान हुई—“हे परम श्रेष्ठ विद्वानो, डरो मत। तुम सब का कल्याण हो। तुम सभी मेरे श्रवण तथा कीर्तन द्वारा एवं मेरी स्तुति से मेरे भक्त बनो, क्योंकि इन सब का उद्देश्य सभी जीवों को आशीष देना है। ॥ ७-४-२५ ॥
