Srimad Bhagavatam
ॐ हरिर्विदध्यान्मम सर्वरक्षां न्यस्ताङ्घ्रिपद्मः पतगेन्द्रपृष्ठे । दरारिचर्मासिगदेषुचापपाशान् दधानोऽष्टगुणोऽष्टबाहुः ॥ ६-८-१२ ॥
The Supreme Lord, who sits on the back of the bird Garuḍa, touching him with His lotus feet, holds eight weapons — the conchshell, disc, shield, sword, club, arrows, bow and ropes. May that Supreme Personality of Godhead protect me at all times with His eight arms. He is all-powerful because He fully possesses the eight mystic powers ॥ aṇimā, laghimā, etc.॥. ॥ 6-8-12 ॥
english translation
परमेश्वर पक्षिराज गरुड़ की पीठ पर आसीन हैं और अपने चरण-कमल से उसका स्पर्श कर रहे हैं। वे अपने हाथों में शंख, चक्र, ढाल, तलवार, गदा, तीर, धनुष तथा पाश धारण किये हैं। ऐसे आठ भुजाओं वाले पूर्ण पुरुषोत्तम भगवान् सभी समय मेरी रक्षा करें। वे सर्वशक्तिमान हैं, क्योंकि वे आठ योग-शक्तियों (अणिमा, लघिमा इत्यादि) से समन्वित हैं। ॥ ६-८-१२ ॥
