सविसर्गं फडन्तं तत्सर्वदिक्षु विनिर्दिशेत् । ॐ विष्णवे नम इति ।। ६-८-१० ।।

Thereafter, adding visarga to the final syllable ma he should chant the mantra maḥ astrāya phaṭ in all directions, beginning from the east. In this way, all directions will be bound by the protective armor of the mantra. ।। 6-8-10 ।।

english translation

तत्पश्चात् उसे चाहिए कि अन्तिम शब्द ‘म’ में विसर्ग लगाकर ‘म: अस्त्राय फट्’ इस मंत्र का जप पूर्व दिशा से प्रारम्भ करके सभी दिशाओं में करे। इस तरह सभी दिशाएँ इस मंत्र के सुरक्षा-कवच से बँध जायेंगी। ।। ६-८-१० ।।
