एवं ते सर्वमाख्यातं यन्मां त्वं परिपृच्छसि । मङ्गलं मरुतां जन्म किं भूयः कथयामि ते ॥ ६-१८-७८ ॥
My dear King Parīkṣit, I have replied as far as possible to the questions you have asked me, especially in regard to this pure, auspicious narration about the Maruts. Now you may inquire further, and I shall explain more. ॥ 6-18-78 ॥

हे राजा परीक्षित! मैंने यथासम्भव तुम्हारे द्वारा पूछे गये प्रश्नों, विशेष रूप से मरुतों के इस शुद्ध मंगलकारी वर्णन, का उत्तर दिया। अब तुम आगे जो पूछना चाहते हो पूछो, मैं उसे भी विस्तार से बताऊँगा। ॥ ६-१८-७८ ॥
