प्रतिश्रुतं ददामीति वचस्तन्न मृषा भवेत् । वधं नार्हति चेन्द्रोऽपि तत्रेदमुपकल्पते ।। ६-१८-४३ ।।

sanskrit

I promised to give her a benediction, and this promise cannot be violated, but Indra does not deserve to be killed. In these circumstances, the solution I have is quite suitable. ।। 6-18-43 ।।

english translation

मैंने उसे एक वर देने का वचन दिया है, जिसका उल्लंघन नहीं किया जा सकता, लेकिन इन्द्र वध किये जाने योग्य नहीं है। इस स्थिति में मैने जो उपाय (हल) सोचा है, वह उपयुक्त है। ।। ६-१८-४३ ।।

pratizrutaM dadAmIti vacastanna mRSA bhavet | vadhaM nArhati cendro'pi tatredamupakalpate || 6-18-43 ||
