श्रीशुक उवाच इन्द्रो वृत्रवचः श्रुत्वा गतालीकमपूजयत् । गृहीतवज्रः प्रहसंस्तमाह गतविस्मयः ।। ६-१२-१८ ।।

sanskrit

Śukadeva Gosvāmī said: Hearing the straightforward, instructive words of Vṛtrāsura, King Indra praised him and again took the thunderbolt in his hand. Without bewilderment or duplicity, he then smiled and spoke to Vṛtrāsura as follows. ।। 6-12-18 ।।

english translation

शुकदेव गोस्वामी ने कहा—वृत्रासुर के निष्कपट तथा निर्देशात्मक वचन सुनकर राजा इन्द्र ने उसकी प्रशंसा की और अपने वज्र को पुन: हाथ में धारण कर लिया। इसके बाद बिना मोह या द्वैत-भाव से वह हँसा और वृत्रासुर से इस प्रकार बोला। ।। ६-१२-१८ ।।
