Srimad Bhagavatam
ततः सुराणामसुरै रणः परमदारुणः । त्रेतामुखे नर्मदायामभवत्प्रथमे युगे ॥ ६-१०-१६ ॥
Thereafter, at the end of Satya-yuga and the beginning of Tretā-yuga, a fierce battle took place between the demigods and the demons on the bank of the Narmadā. ॥ 6-10-16 ॥

तत्पश्चात् सत्ययुग के अन्त तथा त्रेतायुग के प्रारम्भ में नर्मदा नदी के तट पर देवों तथा असुरों के मध्य घमासान युद्ध हुआ। ॥ ६-१०-१६ ॥
