एकदासौ वनं यातः पितृसन्देशकृद्द्विजः । आदाय तत आवृत्तः फलपुष्पसमित्कुशान् ॥ ६-१-५८ ॥

sanskrit

Once this brāhmaṇa Ajāmila, following the order of his father, went to the forest to collect fruit, flowers and two kinds of grass, called samit and kuśa. ॥ 6-1-58 ॥

english translation

एक बार यह ब्राह्मण अजामिल अपने पिता का आदेश पालन करते हुए जंगल से फल, फूल तथा समित् और कुश नामक दो प्रकार की घासें लाने जंगल गया। ॥ ६-१-५८ ॥

ekadAsau vanaM yAtaH pitRsandezakRddvijaH । AdAya tata AvRttaH phalapuSpasamitkuzAn ॥ 6-1-58 ॥
