यथेह देवप्रवरास्त्रैविध्यमुपलभ्यते । भूतेषु गुणवैचित्र्यात्तथान्यत्रानुमीयते ॥ ६-१-४६ ॥
O best of the demigods, we can see three different varieties of life, which are due to the contamination of the three modes of nature. The living entities are thus known as peaceful, restless and foolish; as happy, unhappy or in-between; or as religious, irreligious and semireligious. We can deduce that in the next life these three kinds of material nature will similarly act. ॥ 6-1-46 ॥

हे देवश्रेष्ठो! हम विभिन्न प्रकार के तीन जीवन देखते हैं, जो प्रकृति के तीन गुणों के कल्मष के कारण हैं। इस तरह जीव शान्त, अशान्त तथा मूर्ख; सुखी, दु:खी या इन दोनों के बीच; तथा धार्मिक, अधार्मिक या अर्धधार्मिक जाने जाते हैं। हम यह निष्कर्ष निकाल सकते हैं कि अगले जीवन में ये तीन प्रकार की प्रकृतियाँ इसी प्रकार से कर्म करेंगी। ॥ ६-१-४६ ॥
