येन यावान् यथाधर्मो धर्मो वेह समीहितः । स एव तत्फलं भुङ्क्ते तथा तावदमुत्र वै ॥ ६-१-४५ ॥
In proportion to the extent of one’s religious or irreligious actions in this life, one must enjoy or suffer the corresponding reactions of his karma in the next. ॥ 6-1-45 ॥

इस जीवन में अपने धार्मिक या अधार्मिक कार्यों की मात्रा के अनुपात में मनुष्य अपने अगले जीवन में अपने कर्म के अनुरूप फलों का भोग करता है या कष्ट उठाता है। ॥ ६-१-४५ ॥
