सङ्ग्रहेण मयाऽऽख्यातः प्रतिसर्गस्तवानघ । त्रिः श्रुत्वैतत्पुमान् पुण्यं विधुनोत्यात्मनो मलम् ।। ४-८-५ ।।

sanskrit

My dear Vidura, I have summarily explained the causes of devastation. One who hears this description three times attains piety and washes the sinful contamination from his soul. ।। 4-8-5 ।।

english translation

हे विदुर, मैंने संक्षेप में प्रलय के कारणों का वर्णन किया। जो इस वर्णन को तीन बार सुनता है उसे पुण्य लाभ होता है और उसके आत्मा का पापमय कल्मष धुल जाता है। ।। ४-८-५ ।।
