कृत्वोरौ दक्षिणे सव्यं पादपद्मं च जानुनि । बाहुं प्रकोष्ठेऽक्षमालामासीनं तर्कमुद्रया ।। ४-६-३८ ।।

sanskrit

His left leg was placed on his right thigh, and his left hand was placed on his left thigh. [This sitting posture is called vīrāsana.] In his right hand he held rudrākṣa beads, and his finger was in the mode of argument. ।। 4-6-38 ।।

english translation

उनका बायाँ पैर उनकी दाहिनी जाँघ पर रखा था और उनका बायाँ हाथ बायीं जाँघ पर था। दाहिने हाथ में उन्होंने रुद्राक्ष की माला पकड़ रखी थी। यह आसन वीरासन कहलाता है। इस प्रकार वे वीरासन में थे और उनकी अँगुली तर्क-मुद्रा में थी। ।। ४-६-३८ ।।
