व्यालालयद्रुमा वै तेऽप्यरिक्ताखिलसम्पदः । यद्गृहास्तीर्थपादीयपादतीर्थविवर्जिताः ।। ४-२२-११ ।।

sanskrit

On the contrary, even though full of all opulence and material prosperity, any householder’s house where the devotees of the Lord are never allowed to come in, and where there is no water for washing their feet, is to be considered a tree in which all venomous serpents live. ।। 4-22-11 ।।

english translation

इसके विपरीत जिस गृहस्थ के घर में भगवान् के भक्तों के चरण नहीं पड़ते और जहाँ उन चरणों के प्रक्षालन के लिए जल नहीं रहता, वह घर समस्त ऐश्वर्य तथा धन-सम्पन्न होते हुए भी ऐसे वृक्ष के तुल्य माना जाता है, जिसमें केवल विषैले सर्प रहते हैं। ।। ४-२२-११ ।।
