Srimad Bhagavatam
कृत्वा वत्सं सुरगणा इन्द्रं सोममदूदुहन् । हिरण्मयेन पात्रेण वीर्यमोजो बलं पयः ॥ ४-१८-१५ ॥
All the demigods made Indra, the King of heaven, into a calf, and from the earth they milked the beverage soma, which is nectar. Thus they became very powerful in mental speculation and bodily and sensual strength. ॥ 4-18-15 ॥
english translation
समस्त देवताओं ने स्वर्ग के राजा इन्द्र को बछड़ा बनाया और उन्होंने पृथ्वी में से सोम रस अर्थात् अमृत दुह लिया। इस प्रकार वे मानसिक, शारीरिक तथा ऐन्द्रिय शक्ति में अत्यन्त बलशाली हो गये। ॥ ४-१८-१५ ॥
