ऋषय ऊचुः एष विष्णोर्भगवतः कला भुवनपालिनी । इयं च लक्ष्म्याः सम्भूतिः पुरुषस्यानपायिनी ॥ ४-१५-३ ॥

The great sages said: The male is a plenary expansion of the power of Lord Viṣṇu, who maintains the entire universe, and the female is a plenary expansion of the goddess of fortune, who is never separated from the Lord. ॥ 4-15-3 ॥

english translation

ऋषियों ने कहा : यह पुरुष तो सम्पूर्ण ब्रह्माण्ड का पालन करनेवाले भगवान् विष्णु की शक्ति का अंश है और यह स्त्री भगवान् विष्णु से कभी अलग न होनेवाली एवं सम्पत्ति की देवी, लक्ष्मी का अंश है। ॥ ४-१५-३ ॥
