धन्यं यशस्यमायुष्यं पुण्यं स्वस्त्ययनं महत् । स्वर्ग्यं ध्रौव्यं सौमनस्यं प्रशस्यमघमर्षणम् ।। ४-१२-४५ ।।

By hearing the narration of Dhruva Mahārāja one can fulfill desires for wealth, reputation and increased duration of life. It is so auspicious that one can even go to a heavenly planet or attain Dhruvaloka, which was achieved by Dhruva Mahārāja, just by hearing about him. The demigods also become pleased because this narration is so glorious, and it is so powerful that it can counteract all the results of one’s sinful actions. ।। 4-12-45 ।।

english translation

ध्रुव के आख्यान को सुनकर मनुष्य अपनी सम्पत्ति, यश तथा दीर्घायु की इच्छा को पूरा कर सकता है। यह इतना कल्याणकर है कि इसके श्रवणमात्र से मनुष्य स्वर्गलोक को जा सकता है, अथवा ध्रुवलोक को प्राप्त कर सकता है। देवता भी प्रसन्न होते हैं, क्योंकि यह आख्यान इतना यशस्वी है, इतना सशक्त है कि यह सारे पापकर्मों के फल का नाश करनेवाला है। ।। ४-१२-४५ ।।
