तमेवं शीलसम्पन्नं ब्रह्मण्यं दीनवत्सलम् । गोप्तारं धर्मसेतूनां मेनिरे पितरं प्रजाः ।। ४-१२-१२ ।।

sanskrit

Dhruva Mahārāja was endowed with all godly qualities; he was very respectful to the devotees of the Supreme Lord and very kind to the poor and innocent, and he protected religious principles. With all these qualifications, he was considered to be the direct father of all the citizens. ।। 4-12-12 ।।

english translation

ध्रुव महाराज सभी दैवी गुणों से सम्पन्न थे; वे भगवान् के भक्तों के प्रति अत्यन्त श्रद्धालु, दीनों तथा निर्दोषों के प्रति दयालु एवं धर्म की रक्षा करनेवाले थे। इन गुणों के कारण वे समस्त नागरिकों के पिता तुल्य समझे जाते थे। ।। ४-१२-१२ ।।
