कालस्यानुगतिर्या तु लक्ष्यतेऽण्वी बृहत्यपि । यावत्यः कर्मगतयो यादृशीर्द्विजसत्तम ।। २-८-१३ ।।

O purest of the brāhmaṇas, please also explain the cause of the different durations of time, both short and long, as well as the beginning of time, following the course of action. ।। 2-8-13 ।।

english translation

हे ब्राह्मणश्रेष्ठ, कृपा करके मुझे काल की लघु तथा दीर्घ अवधियों एवं कर्म की प्रक्रिया के क्रम में काल के शुभारम्भ के विषय में भी बतलाएँ। ।। २-८-१३ ।।
