सूत उवाच इत्युपामन्त्रितो राज्ञा गुणानुकथने हरेः । हृषीकेशमनुस्मृत्य प्रतिवक्तुं प्रचक्रमे ।। २-४-११ ।।
Sūta Gosvāmī said: When Śukadeva Gosvāmī was thus requested by the King to describe the creative energy of the Personality of Godhead, he then systematically remembered the master of the senses [Śrī Kṛṣṇa], and to reply properly he spoke thus. ।। 2-4-11 ।।

सूत गोस्वामी ने कहा : जब राजा ने शुकदेव गोस्वामी से इस प्रकार प्रार्थना की कि वे भगवान् की सृजनात्मक शक्ति का वर्णन करें, तो उन्होंने इन्द्रियों के स्वामी (श्रीकृष्ण) का ठीक से स्मरण किया और उपयुक्त उत्तर देने के लिए इस प्रकार बोले। ।। २-४-११ ।।

hk transliteration by Sanscriptश्रीशुक उवाच नमः परस्मै पुरुषाय भूयसे सदुद्भवस्थाननिरोधलीलया । गृहीतशक्तित्रितयाय देहिनामन्तर्भवायानुपलक्ष्यवर्त्मने ।। २-४-१२ ।।
Śukadeva Gosvāmī said: Let me offer my respectful obeisances unto the Supreme Personality of Godhead, who, for the creation of the material world, accepts the three modes of nature. He is the complete whole residing within the body of everyone, and His ways are inconceivable. ।। 2-4-12 ।।

शुकदेव गोस्वामी ने कहा : मैं उन पूर्ण पुरुषोत्तम भगवान् को सादर नमस्कार करता हूँ, जो भौतिक जगत की सृष्टि के लिए प्रकृति के तीन गुणों को स्वीकार करते हैं। वे प्रत्येक शरीर के भीतर निवास करनेवाले परम पूर्ण हैं और उनकी गतियाँ अचिन्त्य हैं। ।। २-४-१२ ।।

hk transliteration by Sanscriptभूयो नमः सद्वृजिनच्छिदेऽसतामसम्भवायाखिलसत्त्वमूर्तये । पुंसां पुनः पारमहंस्य आश्रमे व्यवस्थितानामनुमृग्यदाशुषे ।। २-४-१३ ।।
I again offer my respectful obeisances unto the form of complete existence and transcendence, who is the liberator of the pious devotees from all distresses and the destroyer of the further advances in atheistic temperament of the nondevotee-demons. For the transcendentalists who are situated in the topmost spiritual perfection, He grants their specific destinations. ।। 2-4-13 ।।

मैं पुन: पूर्ण जगत-रुप तथा अध्यात्म-रूप उन भगवान् को सादर नमस्कार करता हूँ, जो पुण्यात्मा भक्तों को समस्त संकटों से मुक्ति दिलानेवाले तथा अभक्त असुरों की नास्तिक मनोवृत्ति की वृद्धि को विनष्ट करनेवाले हैं। वे सर्वोच्च आध्यात्मिक सिद्धि-प्राप्त योगियों को उनके विशिष्ट पद प्रदान करने वाले हैं। ।। २-४-१३ ।।

Let me offer my respectful obeisances unto Him who is the associate of the members of the Yadu dynasty and who is always a problem for the nondevotees. He is the supreme enjoyer of both the material and spiritual worlds, yet He enjoys His own abode in the spiritual sky. There is no one equal to Him because His transcendental opulence is immeasurable. ।। 2-4-14 ।।

मैं उन्हें सादर नमस्कार करता हूँ जो यदुवंशियों के संगी हैं और अभक्तों के लिए सदैव समस्या बने रहते हैं। वे भौतिक तथा आध्यात्मिक दोनों जगतों के परम भोक्ता हैं, फिर भी वे वैकुण्ठ स्थित अपने धाम का भोग करते हैं। कोई भी उनके समतुल्य नहीं है, क्योंकि उनका दिव्य ऐश्वर्य अमाप्य है। ।। २-४-१४ ।।

hk transliteration by Sanscriptयत्कीर्तनं यत्स्मरणं यदीक्षणं यद्वन्दनं यच्छ्रवणं यदर्हणम् । लोकस्य सद्यो विधुनोति कल्मषं तस्मै सुभद्रश्रवसे नमो नमः ।। २-४-१५ ।।
Let me offer my respectful obeisances unto the all-auspicious Lord Śrī Kṛṣṇa, about whom glorification, remembrances, audience, prayers, hearing and worship can at once cleanse the effects of all sins of the performer. ।। 2-4-15 ।।

मैं उन सर्वमंगलमय भगवान् श्रीकृष्ण को सादर नमस्कार करता हूँ जिनके यशोगान, स्मरण, दर्शन, वन्दन, श्रवण तथा पूजन से पाप करनेवाले के सारे पाप-फल तुरन्त धुल जाते हैं। ।। २-४-१५ ।।
