सन्दधेऽस्त्रं स्वधनुषि कामः पञ्चमुखं तदा । मधुर्मनो रजस्तोक इन्द्रभृत्या व्यकम्पयन् ।। १२-८-२५ ।।

sanskrit

While the son of passion [greed personified], spring and the other servants of Indra all tried to agitate Mārkaṇḍeya’s mind, Cupid drew his five-headed arrow and fixed it upon his bow. ।। 12-8-25 ।।

english translation

जबकि जुनून के पुत्र [लालच], वसंत और इंद्र के अन्य सेवकों ने मार्कंडेय के दिमाग को उत्तेजित करने की कोशिश की, कामदेव ने अपना पांच सिर वाला तीर निकाला और उसे अपने धनुष पर चढ़ाया। ।। १२-८-२५ ।।
