बभ्रुः शिष्योऽथाङ्गिरसः सैन्धवायन एव च । अधीयेतां संहिते द्वे सावर्णाद्यास्तथापरे ॥ १२-७-३ ॥
Babhru and Saindhavāyana, disciples of Śunaka, studied the two divisions of their spiritual master’s compilation of the Atharva Veda. Saindhavāyana’s disciple Sāvarṇa and disciples of other great sages also studied this edition of the Atharva Veda. ॥ 12-7-3 ॥

शूनक के शिष्य बभ्रु और सैंधवायन ने अपने आध्यात्मिक गुरु के अथर्ववेद के संकलन के दो प्रभागों का अध्ययन किया। सैंधवायन के शिष्य सवर्ण और अन्य महान ऋषियों के शिष्यों ने भी अथर्ववेद के इस संस्करण का अध्ययन किया। ॥ १२-७-३ ॥
