कालस्रोतो जवेनाशु ह्रियमाणस्य नित्यदा । परिणामिनामवस्थास्ता जन्मप्रलयहेतवः ॥ १२-४-३६ ॥
All material entities undergo transformation and are constantly and swiftly eroded by the mighty currents of time. The various stages of existence that material things exhibit are the perpetual causes of their generation and annihilation. ॥ 12-4-36 ॥

सभी भौतिक इकाइयां परिवर्तन से गुजरती हैं और समय की शक्तिशाली धाराओं द्वारा लगातार और तेजी से नष्ट हो जाती हैं। भौतिक वस्तुओं के अस्तित्व के विभिन्न चरण उनकी उत्पत्ति और विनाश के शाश्वत कारण हैं। ॥ १२-४-३६ ॥
