शब्दं ग्रसति भूतादिर्नभस्तमनुलीयते । तैजसश्चेन्द्रियाण्यङ्ग देवान् वैकारिको गुणैः ॥ १२-४-१७ ॥
False ego in the mode of passion takes hold of the senses, and false ego in the mode of goodness absorbs the demigods. ॥ 12-4-17 ॥

रजोगुण में मिथ्या अहंकार इंद्रियों को वश में कर लेता है, और सतोगुण में मिथ्या अहंकार देवताओं को लीन कर लेता है। ॥ १२-४-१७ ॥
