My dear King Parīkṣit, all these kings I have described, as well as all other human beings, come to this earth and stake their claims, but ultimately they all must give up this world and meet their destruction. ।। 12-2-40 ।।

मेरे प्रिय राजा परीक्षित, ये सभी राजा जिनका मैंने वर्णन किया है, साथ ही अन्य सभी मनुष्य, इस धरती पर आते हैं और अपना दावा पेश करते हैं, लेकिन अंततः उन सभी को इस दुनिया को छोड़ना होगा और अपने विनाश का सामना करना पड़ेगा। ।। १२-२-४० ।।
