आदिमध्यावसानेषु वैराग्याख्यानसंयुतम् । हरिलीलाकथाव्राता मृतानन्दितसत्सुरम् ॥ १२-१३-११ ॥
From beginning to end, the Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam is full of narrations that encourage renunciation of material life, as well as nectarean accounts of Lord Hari’s transcendental pastimes, which give ecstasy to the saintly devotees and demigods. ॥ 12-13-11 ॥

आरंभ से अंत तक, श्रीमद-भागवत उन आख्यानों से भरा है जो भौतिक जीवन के त्याग को प्रोत्साहित करते हैं, साथ ही भगवान हरि की दिव्य लीलाओं के अमृतमय वर्णन भी हैं, जो संत भक्तों और देवताओं को परमानंद देते हैं। ॥ १२-१३-११ ॥

सर्ववेदान्तसारं यद्ब्रह्मात्मैकत्वलक्षणम् । वस्त्वद्वितीयं तन्निष्ठं कैवल्यैकप्रयोजनम् ॥ १२-१३-१२ ॥
This Bhāgavatam is the essence of all Vedānta philosophy because its subject matter is the Absolute Truth, which, while nondifferent from the spirit soul, is the ultimate reality, one without a second. The goal of this literature is exclusive devotional service unto that Supreme Truth. ॥ 12-13-12 ॥

यह भागवतम सभी वेदांत दर्शन का सार है क्योंकि इसका विषय पूर्ण सत्य है, जो आत्मा से अलग होते हुए भी परम वास्तविकता है, एक दूसरे से रहित। इस साहित्य का लक्ष्य उस परम सत्य के प्रति अनन्य भक्तिमय सेवा है। ॥ १२-१३-१२ ॥

प्रौष्ठपद्यां पौर्णमास्यां हेमसिंहसमन्वितम् । ददाति यो भागवतं स याति परमां गतिम् ॥ १२-१३-१३ ॥
If on the full moon day of the month of Bhādra one places Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam on a golden throne and gives it as a gift, he will attain the supreme transcendental destination. ॥ 12-13-13 ॥

यदि कोई व्यक्ति भाद्र माह की पूर्णिमा के दिन श्रीमद्भागवत को स्वर्ण सिंहासन पर रखकर उसे उपहार स्वरूप देता है, तो उसे सर्वोच्च दिव्य गंतव्य की प्राप्ति होती है। ॥ १२-१३-१३ ॥

राजन्ते तावदन्यानि पुराणानि सतां गणे । यावन्न दृश्यते साक्षात्श्रीमद्भागवतं परम् ॥ १२-१३-१४ ॥
All other Purāṇic scriptures shine forth in the assembly of saintly devotees only As long as the Bhagavatam is not seen directly. ॥ 12-13-14 ॥

अन्य सभी पुराण ग्रंथ केवल संत भक्तों की सभा में ही प्रकाशित होते हैं, जब तक कि भागवत को प्रत्यक्ष रूप से नहीं देखा जाता है। ॥ १२-१३-१४ ॥

(यावद्भागवतं नैव श्रूयतेऽमृतसागरं) सर्ववेदान्तसारं हि श्रीभागवतमिष्यते । तद्रसामृततृप्तस्य नान्यत्र स्याद्रतिः क्वचित् ॥ १२-१३-१५ ॥
as long as that great ocean of nectar, Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam, is not heard. Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam is declared to be the essence of all Vedānta philosophy. One who has felt satisfaction from its nectarean mellow will never be attracted to any other literature. ॥ 12-13-15 ॥

जब तक अमृत के उस महान सागर, श्रीमद्भागवत को नहीं सुना जाता। श्रीमद्भागवत को सभी वेदांत दर्शन का सार घोषित किया गया है। जिसने इसकी अमृतमयी मधुरता से तृप्ति का अनुभव कर लिया वह कभी किसी अन्य साहित्य की ओर आकर्षित नहीं होगा। ॥ १२-१३-१५ ॥
