माहात्म्यं च वधस्तेषां वाराणस्याश्च दाहनम् । भारावतरणं भूमेर्निमित्तीकृत्य पाण्डवान् ।। १२-१२-४१ ।।

sanskrit

The Bhāgavatam also recounts how Lord Kṛṣṇa relieved the earth’s burden by engaging the Pāṇḍavas in the Battle of Kurukṣetra. ।। 12-12-41 ।।

english translation

भागवत में यह भी बताया गया है कि कैसे भगवान कृष्ण ने पांडवों को कुरुक्षेत्र के युद्ध में शामिल करके पृथ्वी का बोझ कम किया। ।। १२-१२-४१ ।।

How the Lord withdrew His own dynasty on the pretext of the brāhmaṇas’ curse; Vasudeva’s conversation with Nārada; the extraordinary conversation between Uddhava and Kṛṣṇa, ।। 12-12-42 ।।

किस प्रकार भगवान ने ब्राह्मणों के श्राप के बहाने अपना वंश वापस ले लिया; वसुदेव की नारद से बातचीत; उद्धव और कृष्ण के बीच असाधारण बातचीत, ।। १२-१२-४२ ।।

यत्रात्मविद्या ह्यखिला प्रोक्ता धर्मविनिर्णयः । ततो मर्त्यपरित्याग आत्मयोगानुभावतः ।। १२-१२-४३ ।।

sanskrit

which reveals the science of the self in complete detail and elucidates the religious principles of human society; and then how Lord Kṛṣṇa gave up this mortal world by His own mystic power — the Bhāgavatam narrates all these events. ।। 12-12-43 ।।

english translation

जो स्वयं के विज्ञान को पूर्ण विस्तार से प्रकट करता है और मानव समाज के धार्मिक सिद्धांतों को स्पष्ट करता है; और फिर भगवान कृष्ण ने अपनी रहस्यमय शक्ति से इस नश्वर संसार को कैसे त्याग दिया - भागवतम इन सभी घटनाओं का वर्णन करता है। ।। १२-१२-४३ ।।

This work also describes people’s characteristics and behavior in the different ages, the chaos men experience in the Age of Kali, the four kinds of annihilation and the three kinds of creation. ।। 12-12-44 ।।

यह कार्य विभिन्न युगों में लोगों की विशेषताओं और व्यवहार, कलियुग में मनुष्यों द्वारा अनुभव की जाने वाली अराजकता, चार प्रकार के विनाश और तीन प्रकार की सृष्टि का भी वर्णन करता है। ।। १२-१२-४४ ।।

There are also an account of the passing away of the wise and saintly King Viṣṇurāta [Parīkṣit], an explanation of how Śrīla Vyāsadeva disseminated the branches of the Vedas, a pious narration concerning Mārkaṇḍeya Ṛṣi, and a description of the detailed arrangement of the Lord’s universal form and His form as the sun, the soul of the universe. ।। 12-12-45 ।।
