उद्धव उवाच देवदेवेश योगेश पुण्यश्रवणकीर्तन । संहृत्यैतत्कुलं नूनं लोकं सन्त्यक्ष्यते भवान् । विप्रशापं समर्थोऽपि प्रत्यहन्न यदीश्वरः ।। ११-६-४२ ।।

sanskrit

Śrī Uddhava said: O my Lord, O supreme God among all the demigods, real piety is invoked simply by hearing and chanting Your transcendental glories. My Lord, it appears that You will now withdraw Your dynasty, and thus You Yourself will finally give up Your pastimes within this universe. You are the supreme controller and the master of all mystic power. But although You are fully capable of counteracting the brāhmaṇas’ curse against Your dynasty, You are not doing so, and Your disappearance is imminent. ।। 11-6-42 ।।

english translation

श्री उद्धव ने कहा: हे मेरे भगवान, हे सभी देवताओं में सर्वोच्च भगवान, आपकी दिव्य महिमा को सुनने और जपने से ही वास्तविक धर्मपरायणता प्रकट होती है। हे प्रभु, ऐसा प्रतीत होता है कि अब आप अपना वंश वापस ले लेंगे, और इस प्रकार आप अंततः इस ब्रह्मांड के भीतर अपनी लीलाओं को त्याग देंगे। आप सर्वोच्च नियंत्रक और समस्त रहस्यमय शक्ति के स्वामी हैं। हालाँकि आप अपने वंश के विरुद्ध ब्राह्मणों के श्राप का प्रतिकार करने में पूरी तरह सक्षम हैं, फिर भी आप ऐसा नहीं कर रहे हैं, और आपका गायब होना आसन्न है। ।। ११-६-४२ ।।
