वेदोक्तमेव कुर्वाणो निःसङ्गोऽर्पितमीश्वरे । नैष्कर्म्यं लभते सिद्धिं रोचनार्था फलश्रुतिः ।। ११-३-४६ ।।

By executing without attachment the regulated activities prescribed in the Vedas, offering the results of such work to the Supreme Lord, one attains the perfection of freedom from the bondage of material work. The material fruitive results offered in the revealed scriptures are not the actual goal of Vedic knowledge, but are meant for stimulating the interest of the performer. ।। 11-3-46 ।।

english translation

वेदों में निर्धारित विनियमित गतिविधियों को आसक्ति के बिना निष्पादित करके, ऐसे कार्यों के परिणामों को सर्वोच्च भगवान को अर्पित करके, व्यक्ति भौतिक कार्यों के बंधन से मुक्ति की पूर्णता प्राप्त करता है। प्रकट ग्रंथों में प्रस्तावित भौतिक फलदायी परिणाम वैदिक ज्ञान का वास्तविक लक्ष्य नहीं हैं, बल्कि कर्ता की रुचि को प्रोत्साहित करने के लिए हैं। ।। ११-३-४६ ।।
