अस्थिरायां विकल्पः स्यात्स्थण्डिले तु भवेद्द्वयम् । स्नपनं त्वविलेप्यायामन्यत्र परिमार्जनम् ।। ११-२७-१४ ।।

The Deity that is temporarily established can optionally be called forth and sent away, but these two rituals should always be performed when the Deity is traced upon the ground. Bathing should be done with water except if the Deity is made of clay, paint or wood, in which cases a thorough cleansing without water is enjoined. ।। 11-27-14 ।।

english translation

अस्थायी रूप से स्थापित देवता को वैकल्पिक रूप से बुलाया और भेजा जा सकता है, लेकिन ये दो अनुष्ठान हमेशा तब किए जाने चाहिए जब देवता का पता जमीन पर हो। स्नान पानी से किया जाना चाहिए, सिवाय इसके कि अगर देवता मिट्टी, पेंट या लकड़ी से बने हों, तो ऐसी स्थिति में पानी के बिना पूरी तरह से सफाई करने का निर्देश दिया जाता है। ।। ११-२७-१४ ।।
