भजन्ति ये यथा देवान् देवा अपि तथैव तान् । छायेव कर्मसचिवाः साधवो दीनवत्सलाः ॥ ११-२-६ ॥
Those who worship the demigods receive reciprocation from the demigods in a way just corresponding to the offering. The demigods are attendants of karma, like a person’s shadow, but sādhus are actually merciful to the fallen. ॥ 11-2-6 ॥

जो लोग देवताओं की पूजा करते हैं, उन्हें देवताओं से भेंट के अनुरूप ही प्रत्युत्तर प्राप्त होता है। देवता किसी व्यक्ति की छाया की तरह कर्म के परिचारक होते हैं, लेकिन साधु वास्तव में पतित के प्रति दयालु होते हैं। ॥ ११-२-६ ॥
