मुमुक्षवो घोररूपान् हित्वा भूतपतीनथ । नारायणकलाः शान्ता भजन्ति ह्यनसूयवः ।। १-२-२६ ।।

sanskrit

Those who are serious about liberation are certainly nonenvious, and they respect all. Yet they reject the horrible and ghastly forms of the demigods and worship only the all-blissful forms of Lord Viṣṇu and His plenary portions. ।। 1-2-26 ।।

english translation

जो लोग मोक्ष के प्रति गम्भीर हैं, वे निश्चय ही द्वेषरहित होते हैं और सबका सम्मान करते हैं। किन्तु, फिर भी वे देवताओं के घोर रूपों का अस्वीकार करके, केवल भगवान् विष्णु तथा उनके स्वांशों के कल्याणकारी रूपों की ही पूजा करते हैं। ।। १-२-२६ ।।
