तस्याहमब्जकुलिशाङ्कुशकेतुकेतैः श्रीमत्पदैर्भगवतः समलङ्कृताङ्गी । त्रीनत्यरोच उपलभ्य ततो विभूतिं लोकान् स मां व्यसृजदुत्स्मयतीं तदन्ते ॥ १-१६-३३ ॥
I was endowed with specific powers to supersede the fortune of all the three planetary systems by being decorated with the impressions of the flag, thunderbolt, elephant-driving rod and lotus flower, which are signs of the lotus feet of the Lord. But at the end, when I felt I was so fortunate, the Lord left me. ॥ 1-16-33 ॥

मुझे वे विशिष्ट शक्तियाँ प्राप्त हुई थीं, जिनसे मैं ध्वज, वज्र, अंकुश तथा कमल चिह्नों से, जो भगवान् के चरणकमलों के चिन्ह हैं, अलंकृत होकर तीनों लोकों की सम्पत्ति को परास्त कर सकती थी। लेकिन अन्त में, जब मैंने अनुभव किया कि मैं कितनी भाग्यशालिनी हूँ, तब भगवान् ने मुझे त्याग दिया। ॥ १-१६-३३ ॥
