एवंविधा गदन्तीनां स गिरः पुरयोषिताम् । निरीक्षणेनाभिनन्दन् सस्मितेन ययौ हरिः ।। १-१०-३१ ।।

sanskrit

While the ladies of the capital [Hastināpura] were greeting Him and talking in this way, the Lord, smiling, accepted their good greetings, and casting the grace of His glance over them, He departed from the city. ।। 1-10-31 ।।

english translation

राजधानी हस्तिनापुर की स्त्रियाँ अभी उनका अभिनन्दन कर ही रही थीं और इस प्रकार से बातें चला रही थीं कि भगवान् ने मुस्कराते हुए उनकी बधाइयाँ स्वीकार कीं और उन पर अपनी कृपादृष्टि डालते हुए नगर से प्रस्थान किया। ।। १-१०-३१ ।।
