न्यरुन्धन्नुद्गलद्बाष्पमौत्कण्ठ्याद्देवकीसुते । निर्यात्यगारान्नोऽभद्रमिति स्याद्बान्धवस्त्रियः ।। १-१०-१४ ।।

sanskrit

The female relatives, whose eyes were flooded with tears out of anxiety for Kṛṣṇa, came out of the palace. They could stop their tears only with great difficulty. They feared that tears would cause misfortune at the time of departure. ।। 1-10-14 ।।

english translation

सगी-सम्बन्धी (नातेदार) स्त्रियाँ, जिनके नेत्रों से कृष्ण के लिए व्याकुलतावश अश्रुधारा निकल रही थी, महल से बाहर आ गईं। वे बड़ी मुश्किल से अपने आँसू रोक पाईं। उन्हें भय था कि प्रस्थान के अवसर पर आँसुओं से अपशकुन हो सकता है। ।। १-१०-१४ ।।
