अतिष्ठतां वीतभयावानंदास्तिमितौ तदा ॥ एतस्मिन्नंतरे चित्रमिंद्रजालवदैश्वरम् ॥ ८१ ॥
Then the two Lords, fearless and blissful, remained there. After this, the wonderful Lord appeared like a web of Indra.

atiSThatAM vItabhayAvAnaMdAstimitau tadA ॥ etasminnaMtare citramiMdrajAlavadaizvaram ॥ 81 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptलिंगं क्वापि तिरोभूतं न ताभ्यामुपलभ्यते ॥ ततो विलप्य हाहेति सद्यःप्रणयभंगतः ॥ ८२ ॥
The body disappeared somewhere, but the two of them could not find it. Then he cried out 'Alas' and immediately broke his love.

liMgaM kvApi tirobhUtaM na tAbhyAmupalabhyate ॥ tato vilapya hAheti sadyaHpraNayabhaMgataH ॥ 82 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptकिमसत्यमिदं वृत्तमिति चोक्त्वा परस्परम् ॥ अचिंत्यवैभवं शंभोर्विचिंत्य च गतव्यथौ ॥ ८३ ॥
They asked each other, “What is this untruth?” Contemplating the unimaginable glory of Lord Śiva they were relieved of their pain.

kimasatyamidaM vRttamiti coktvA parasparam ॥ aciMtyavaibhavaM zaMbhorviciMtya ca gatavyathau ॥ 83 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअभ्युपेत्य परां मैत्रीमालिंग्य च परस्परम् ॥ जगद्व्यापारमुद्दिश्य जग्मतुर्देवपुंगवौ ॥ ८४ ॥
Becoming great friends once again and embracing each other the leading deities returned to their duties in the universe.

abhyupetya parAM maitrImAliMgya ca parasparam ॥ jagadvyApAramuddizya jagmaturdevapuMgavau ॥ 84 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptततः प्रभृति शक्राद्याः सर्व एव सुरासुराः ॥ ऋषयश्च नरा नागा नार्यश्चापि विधानतः ॥ लिंगप्रतिष्ठा कुर्वंति लिंगे तं पूजयंति च ॥ ८५ ॥
Ever since that Indra and other gods, Asuras, sages, men, serpents as well as women install Liṅgas in accordance with the injunctions and worship him in the Liṅga.

tataH prabhRti zakrAdyAH sarva eva surAsurAH ॥ RSayazca narA nAgA nAryazcApi vidhAnataH ॥ liMgapratiSThA kurvaMti liMge taM pUjayaMti ca ॥ 85 ॥
