किमत्र संघटेत्कृत्यमित्येवावसरोचितम् ॥ अजानन्नपि यत्किंचित्प्रलप्य त्वां नतो ऽस्म्यहम् ॥ ६६ ॥
What is proper to be achieved is the relevant point now. Without knowing anything I have blurted out something for which I pray to be excused.

kimatra saMghaTetkRtyamityevAvasarocitam ॥ ajAnannapi yatkiMcitpralapya tvAM nato 'smyaham ॥ 66 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptकारणत्वं त्वया दत्तं विस्मृतं तव मायया ॥ मोहितो ऽहंकृतश्चापि पुनरेवास्मि शासितः ॥ ६७ ॥
That you were the primordial cause we forgot due to your Māyā. I am deluded, puffed up and have hence been chastised by you.
english translation
kAraNatvaM tvayA dattaM vismRtaM tava mAyayA ॥ mohito 'haMkRtazcApi punarevAsmi zAsitaH ॥ 67 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptविज्ञापितैः किं बहुभिर्भीतोस्मि भृशमीश्वर ॥ यतो ऽहमपरिच्छेद्यं त्वां परिच्छेत्तुमुद्यतः ॥ ६८ ॥
Of what avail is this submission? O lord, I am extremely afraid because I have endeavoured to determine your size when in fact you cannot be gauged.
english translation
vijJApitaiH kiM bahubhirbhItosmi bhRzamIzvara ॥ yato 'hamaparicchedyaM tvAM paricchettumudyataH ॥ 68 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptत्वामुशंति महादेवं भीतानामार्तिनाशनम् ॥ अतो व्यतिक्रमं मे ऽद्य क्षंतुमर्हसि शंकर ॥ ६९ ॥
O Śiva, they call you a great lord, the destroyer of the distress of the frightened. I entreat you to forgive my transgression thus.

tvAmuzaMti mahAdevaM bhItAnAmArtinAzanam ॥ ato vyatikramaM me 'dya kSaMtumarhasi zaMkara ॥ 69 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptइति विज्ञापितस्ताभ्यामीश्वराभ्यां महेश्वरः ॥ प्रीतो ऽनुगृह्य तौ देवौ स्मितपूर्वमभाषत ॥ ७० ॥
When thus implored lord Śiva became highly delighted. He blessed the two deities and spoke to them smilingly.

iti vijJApitastAbhyAmIzvarAbhyAM mahezvaraH ॥ prIto 'nugRhya tau devau smitapUrvamabhASata ॥ 70 ॥
