Shiva Purana
कृत्वा स्नानादिकं शक्त्या पूजयेत्परमेश्वरम् ॥ प्रजास्थानं समासाद्य बद्ध्वा रुचिरमासनम् ॥ ३९ ॥
After performing the rituals of bathing and other rituals, one should worship the Supreme Lord according to one’s ability. He reached the place of the people and tied up a beautiful seat.

kRtvA snAnAdikaM zaktyA pUjayetparamezvaram ॥ prajAsthAnaM samAsAdya baddhvA ruciramAsanam ॥ 39 ॥
