मन्त्रकुम्भे च विन्यस्य मन्त्रं मन्त्रविशारदः ॥ कृत्वा मुद्रादिकं सर्वं मन्त्रयागं समाचरेत् ॥ २१ ॥
The expert in chanting mantras placed the mantra in a mantra pot After performing all the mudras and other rituals, one should perform the mantra-yajña.
english translation
mantrakumbhe ca vinyasya mantraM mantravizAradaH ॥ kRtvA mudrAdikaM sarvaM mantrayAgaM samAcaret ॥ 21 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptततश्शिवानले होमं कुर्याद्देशिकसत्तमः ॥ प्रधानकुण्डे परितो जुहुयुश्चापरे द्विजाः ॥ २२ ॥
The excellent preceptor shall perform the sacrifice in the sacred fire in the main pit. The other brahmins shall perform the sacrifice all round in the other pits.
english translation
tatazzivAnale homaM kuryAddezikasattamaH ॥ pradhAnakuNDe parito juhuyuzcApare dvijAH ॥ 22 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptआचार्यात्पादमर्धं वा होमस्तेषां विधीयते ॥ प्रधानकुण्ड एवाथ जुहुयाद्देशिकोत्तमः ॥ २३ ॥
The excellent preceptor shall perform the sacrifice only in the main pit. The number of sacrifices made by the others is half or one fourth of those of the chief priest.
english translation
AcAryAtpAdamardhaM vA homasteSAM vidhIyate ॥ pradhAnakuNDa evAtha juhuyAddezikottamaH ॥ 23 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptस्वाध्यायमपरे कुर्युः स्तोत्रं मंगलवाचनम् ॥ जपं च विधिवच्चान्ये शिवभक्तिपरायणाः ॥ २४ ॥
Some shall recite the Vedic mantras or auspicious hymns. Some shall perform the Japa duly.
english translation
svAdhyAyamapare kuryuH stotraM maMgalavAcanam ॥ japaM ca vidhivaccAnye zivabhaktiparAyaNAH ॥ 24 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptनृत्यं गीतं च वाद्यं च मंगलान्यपराणि च ॥ पूजनं च सदस्यानां कृत्वा सम्यग्विधानतः ॥ २५ ॥
They danced, sang, played musical instruments and performed other auspicious rituals. After worshiping the members in accordance with the prescribed rituals.

nRtyaM gItaM ca vAdyaM ca maMgalAnyaparANi ca ॥ pUjanaM ca sadasyAnAM kRtvA samyagvidhAnataH ॥ 25 ॥
