Shiva Purana
पादोदकप्रदानाद्यैः कुर्युः पापविशोधनम् ॥ अत्रानुलोमजाता ये युक्ता एव द्विजातिषु ॥ ६५ ॥
They should cleanse themselves of their sins by offering water for their feet. Those who are born in this world are considered to be born in the brāhmaṇas.
english translation
pAdodakapradAnAdyaiH kuryuH pApavizodhanam ॥ atrAnulomajAtA ye yuktA eva dvijAtiSu ॥ 65 ॥
